Happy 2013!

Happy 2013!! 

We had a fun week back to school.  Everyone was excited to start the second part of the school year!


2013 party hats!



 The students wrote thank you notes to Santa for the great gifts they received for Christmas. 


 Loving the new iPad apps we downloaded this week. 


 We learned the letter Ll.  Ll is for ladybug.


 Ll is for Lion - Making lion masks.

Monday, January 14 - Report cards will be sent home, please sign and review your child's progress.  Feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns.  I am always available for conference, I would gladly meet with you to discuss your child's successes and areas of improvement.  If you would like a conference, please feel free to contact me to schedule a time to meet.

Friday, January 18 - PAJAMA DAY - This Friday we will be concluding our unit on "bears".  We will learn all about many types of bears and that some bears hibernate in the winter.  We'll do some "hibernating" of our own on Friday.  So wear your pajamas to school and bring your favorite stuffed bear to school.  Please note that the pajamas must be school appropriate, if your child wears a gown, they will need to wear tights/leggings/shorts under.  Also, no slippers please, tennis shoes only.

Monday, January 21 - No school, Martin Luther King, Jr. Holiday

Tuesday, January 22 - 100TH DAY OF SCHOOL!! - All year we have been counting our way to the 100th day!  And it is almost here.  On Tuesday, January 22, we will celebrate the 100th day of school.  We will count to 100 and have many fun activities.  STUDENTS ARE ENCOURAGED TO DRESS AS IF THEY ARE 100 YEARS OLD!  Ms. Marzoni will be 100, I hope you will be too!!  Check out last year's celebration for some costume ideas - 100th Day of School, 2012

Happy New Year!

Happy 2012!!

This week we welcomed in the new year.  We had a fun start back from the Christmas holidays.  Students came to school on Thursday and Friday.  We'll be back in full force Monday morning!

Here are a few activities we did during the two-day week.

We celebrated the new year with party hats.




 The students wrote thank you notes to Santa for all the wonderful gifts they received.


 The students with "Perfect Attendance" for the second nine weeks were given a special pencil from our principal.  

Jacob wished for a "hound dog" for Christmas and Santa delivered! He brought Copper to school to show him off Friday.

Monday, January 9 - Report cards go home, please review your child's progress, sign and return the following day.  If you would like to request a conference to discuss your child's progress please feel free to do so.  I would be glad to discuss your child's successes and ways they can continue to improve in class.

Friday, January 13 - Kindergarten Pajama Day (for Kindergarten students only) - We will be concluding the thematic unit on bears.  We will learn about bears hibernating and will have fun with this by "hibernating" at school in our pajamas!  Students are encouraged to wear their PJ's, please make sure they are school appropriate.

Monday, January 16 - No school, Martin Luther King, Jr. Holiday

Thursday, January 19 - 100th day of school!  We will celebrate this by dressing up like we are 100 years old!!  Students are encouraged to dress-up, your teachers will be looking very old too!

Happy 2011!


Welcome back!  Everyone had a great Christmas and New Year break and were excited to be back to school Thursday.  We had a short two day week but enjoyed being back at school!

We made "Happy New Year" hats to celebrate 2011!



Everyone loved sharing all the wonderful gifts they got for Christmas and all the fun they had while they were away from school.  Everyone wrote a thank you note to Santa, thanking him for the wonderful toys they received. 



We all had a fun couple of days back and are looking forward to a full week next week!

January 14 - Kindergarten Pajama Day - Students may wear pj's to school on this day, please make sure they are still school appropriate.  Girls may want to wear leggings, tights, or shorts under nightgowns if not wearing pajama pants.  Students may wear slippers but can also bring an additional pair of tennis shoes to wear to recess.  This week is also "Teddy Bear" week, so in addition to wearing your pajamas also bring your favorite teddy bear to school with you on this day.
