Hi! It's me, Ms. Marzoni, and welcome to Kindergarten! Friday was our first day and we had a blast! This is our first blog post of the new school year, each week I will update the blog with photos and video of all the fun we had throughout the week.
Mrs. Guthrie, our great assistant, and I are excited about a wonderful school year!
Busy on the first day!
We read some great books on Friday. We read "The Gingerbread Man," and went on a hunt for our own gingerbread man as we explored our school!
On the hunt, we visited Mrs. DeFatta in the library. We will have a special library time each Friday during the school year.
We met Coach Harvison, we will have P.E. on Monday and Thursday throughout the year.
The gingerbread hunt then took us to the cafeteria.
And then to the music room with Ms. Lowery, we'll have music on Tuesday. The room looked very fun and inviting, we are all excited about music class!
We also saw Nurse Katie along the way.
And finally, our last stop was a visit with Mrs. Downs, our principal. She even gave us our own gingerbread cookies as a great snack to end our hunt!
We also read "The Kissing Hand." This was a great story about how to feel brave when going to school for the first time.
The students made their own "kissing hand" project to share with their families.
What a wonderful day!
Coming Up Next Week...

At the end of each post I will post a "blog password." When your child tells me the password at school they will get a special prize. This lets me know they have shared what we did at school with you at home. But remember the password is top secret, so be sure to whisper when you tell it to me at school. :)
Since we are learning the letter L this week the blog password is: LION
Thank you for sharing pictures from the first day of school. Tyler said he had a great day! Looking forward to a wonderful year! :) Ginny
