In our first week back from Fall Break we learned all about bats! Although we had an abbreviated week, only having school Wednesday-Friday, we still learned a lot!
Here are some "Bat Facts" we learned this week:
Did you know? Bats hang by their toes, upside down!
Did you know? Bats have huge wings and wrap themselves in their wings as they sleep!
Did you know? Bats sleep during the day and are awake at night!
Did you know? Bats eat fruit, flowers and frogs!
Also this week, Momma Jane came to visit us again! October is Fire Safety month and she shared with us some great ways to be safe around fires. She shared with us a play with Smokey the Bear. The students acted out the play and had wonderful props! Everyone enjoyed this and learned important information about being safe around fires. Thanks, Momma Jane!
