Zoo!!

This week we reviewed what we've learned about nouns and verbs.  Who knew nouns and verbs could be so much fun?!

The students all drew a picture of a noun and we added to our "noun town".  Very creative minds in our class!

One day we introduced everyone to "Vicky Verb" and "Ned Noun".  Each student had a word and we sorted the nouns and verbs.

Labeling with nouns!  Everyone loved this!

The thematic unit this week was the "zoo".  We explored many interesting zoo animals on the San Diego Zoo website.  I highly recommend this website, tons of cool info., pictures and webcams!

We read the book "Giraffes Can't Dance" and made a cute giraffe handprint.

We enjoyed all these books, zoo animals are fun to learn about!

Students listed rhyming words on these snakes to make these cute "rhyming rattlers"!

Solving addition and subtraction problems using animal crackers.

Animal cracker parade snacks

Zoo animal memory match

Puzzle time

Monkey craft

One of everyone's favorite games this week, "Barrel of Monkeys"!

Students traced their foot to make the head of these zebras and giraffes.
