Dr. Seuss is on the Loose

This week was national "Read Across America Week" and our school celebrated the joy of reading with a Dr. Seuss themed week.  We invited guest readers to come and read their favorite Dr. Seuss books to us.  It was an exciting week and we are so thankful for all the special visitors!

We had two Southern Miss basketball players visit our class this week.  Jerrold Brooks from the men's team and Ance Celmina from the Lady Eagles read to our class.  We were even featured on southern!!

Mrs. Betty Rose read "The Cat in the Hat".  She gave our class a fish just like in the book!  We named him "Seuss"!

"Silly Sock" day based on the book "Fox in Socks".

"Wacky Wednesday" just liked Dr. Seuss' book, "Wacky Wednesday".

We made oobleck just like in the Dr. Seuss book "Bartholomew and the Oobleck"!

It was an exciting week full of fun activities and lots of learning!!
