Space and FIELD DAY!

This week we learned about the solar system.  The students LOVED reading all these wonderful books and learning some of the key characteristics of the planets.

 Astronauts in training.

The students made their own solar systems, they also described each planet to their classmates.

We continued to learn about verbs.  We introduced some new friends "Vicky Verb" and "Nick Noun" to our class.  The students worked together to sort words as nouns or verbs.

Practicing sight words (I hope you're practicing at home too!).

More learning fun on the iPads!

Then it was time for.....FIELD DAY!!!!
