Everyone is working hard to learn sight words, students did a great job practicing the sight word "the" this week.

Practicing numbers 0-10 at the computer center.

The thematic unit was "seasons."  We discussed the four seasons and how the seasons change.  Also we learned that the trees change with the seasons.  Students made a changing tree, one side was full of green leaves for summer and the other orange and red for fall.

Four seasons - winter, spring, summer and fall

Everyone worked together to make large hand-print trees to represent the four seasons.  We all love to paint!

Next week we are learning all about apples.  We began to talk some about apples this week.  We learned that there are red, yellow and green apples.  We are all looking forward to learning much more about apples next week.

Happy Birthday, Alexis!!
