Pilgrims and Indians

Our letter this week was Kk.  We did many great activities to learn this letter and made kites for K.

We began a two week unit on Thanksgiving.  This week we focused on the lives of the Pilgrims and Indians.  Next week we will continue learning about their great friendship and how they celebrated the first harvest with a huge feast.  All the students love learning about Thanksgiving and like pretending who they would be at the feast, a Pilgrim or an Indian?

Edible tee-pees!  These were fun to make, they loved drawing their own Indian artwork on the sides with cake decorating pens.
