This week we learned about all things sports! It was a fun week and everyone enjoyed wearing their favorite sports uniforms to school on Friday.

We had baseball players and a roller derby girl!

Football players and cheerleaders!

And softball players and a ballerina!

We did several fun activities to learn about all the fun sports we love to watch and play. All the students made sports jerseys. These were fun to make and look like a "Hall of Fame" of athletes displayed in our hallway.

The students enjoyed painting a picture of their favorite sport. Some of the popular sports were cheerleading...

We found this fun baseball math game on the Internet. The students solved addition problems to make it around the bases.

Measuring the height of different sports balls with linking cubes.

Looking at baseball cards and sorting them by their different attributes.

They made their own baseball trading cards featuring themselves! On the back they wrote fun facts about them, like their favorite color, favorite food, and what they want to be when they grow up.

We all joined in and played a baseball game! This was loads of fun and we all enjoyed getting to hit the ball and run around the bases.

* Tuesday, May 25 - Kindergarten Beach Day - Students will participate in fun outdoor games to conclude a fun year! Please wear your class T-shirt, tennis shoes, and sunscreen. Beach Day begins at 8:30 and ends at 12:00. We will be treating the students to Mc Donalds Happy Meals and will eat lunch at 11:15.

* Wednesday, May 26 - Kindergarten Awards Day and the last day of school! Kindergarten Awards day will be held in our classroom and begin at 8:30 AM. All parents are encouraged to come, all students will be receiving an award and be recognized. You may check your child out at the conclusion of Awards Day. Regular dismissal will be at 11:15 for car riders and 11:20 for bus riders.
