Meet the Teacher

I am so glad you are visiting our class blog.  My name is Kelly Marzoni and I am thrilled to be your child's teacher during their first year of school.  I, too, was once a young student at Purvis Elementary, so Purvis is very near and dear to my heart.  I know that we are going to have a fabulous school year! 

I am a graduate of The University of Southern Mississippi (Go Eagles!).  I graduated with my Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education with a minor in math.  I also received my Master's degree in Education with an emphasis in reading instruction from Southern Miss.  You don't have to know me long to know I love my Golden Eagles!

This year marks my seventh year of teaching, all of which have been in Kindergarten.  I love teaching Kindergarten!!  The students are so eager to learn and the academic growth in just one school year is tremendous.  It is definitely the best grade around!  If you need to contact me my email address is Kelly.Marzoni@lamarcountyschools.org .  The school phone number is (601) 794-3302.  And, of course, you can always jot down a note and send it in your child's folder.
